Invaders Catch is a highly polished take on the Space Invaders genre. We’ve not had a game this much fun in the space-shooter genre since Retroshoot, so forgive me if I seem a bit hyper.
There isn’t really anything new here, let me get that off my chest for starters. Another thing is the powerups are fairly sparsely offered and your gun doesn’t get the same level of awesome-kill-kill that you do in other arcade games.
So why do I love this game?
It’s just so darned pretty! The art/8-bit music combo is sweet, and you’ll want to progress if only to see what the next round of cute baddies look like. Waves are pretty short, so it’s really ideal for all us short attention span gimme more types!
